Fused Glass Fundamentals

Come experience what everyone is talking about! Learn about the specialized, foundational skills of glass fusing while creating both functional and decorative works of art. Fused Glass experts will focus on the education and support it takes to build your fused glass proficiency by demonstrating and assisting in your practice of several techniques. In this introductory class, instructors will also cover studio safety, how to score and break glass, assembly, kiln firing, and finishing techniques. Bring your ideas and creativity.
Open to all skill levels.

• Grinding with a lap grinder

In this class you’ll have the opportunity to use the following equipment and materials:

• Fusible glass (some included and additional glass available for purchase)
• Frit and stringer variety
• Glass cutting and breaking tools
• Grinding tools
• Diamond finishing pads
• Acetylene/air torch
• Fiber paper
• Gram scale
