Join us for a holiday themed two-day sewing class perfect for beginners and seasoned sewists alike! Students will learn techniques for designing and constructing a modern patchwork tree skirt using curved piecing, quilting, and finishing methods. Participants will explore color and fabric placement while assembling a festive radial design. Students will leave with a completed tree skirt or a project well underway, along with the skills and confidence to continue creating quilted home décor projects independently.
CLASS MATERIALS For this project, students will need 19 fat quarters or 2.5 yards of cotton or linen for the top quilt, 3 yards of quilting cotton for the backing, and 1 yard for the binding. Batting will be provided. Reach out to artisan.center@ntwc.edu for questions about materials.
