P301 Get Started Painting Murals

This exciting new class developed and instructed by an artist with experience in planning and painting professional murals, will give you all the information needed to begin your public art journey. Students will learn how to go about selecting walls, finding and applying for opportunities, developing project budgets, navigating contracts and agreements, site prep, mural safety, designing and sketching a mural, and painting and preserving your work. Students will design and create a collaborative piece throughout the course to be able to learn by doing. The course is perfect for beginners and artists who want to transition to mural work!

YOUTH PARTICIPANTS For students ages 14-17 participating in non-youth classes, parents/guardians must complete this waiver and send to Artisan.Center@nwtc.edu before the first day of class. The form may also be completed at the Artisan and Business Center if registering in person.
