#S101- -

1417 Cedar St
Green Bay, WI 54302
Instructor: Laura Schley
This intermediate workshop will introduce you to important concepts of garment sewing. The workshop will cover how to read a pattern, determine sizing and blend pattern sizes, transfer patterns to fabric, and construct a finished piece. Participants will create a practice muslin during class that will provide the confidence needed to craft their final piece at home!
CLASS MATERIALS Students should plan to come with their own pattern* and body measurements for the intended wearer. *Patterns should be for a woven fabric or something that is not slippery or stretchy - also pay attention to any closures needed for the project (buttons, snaps, zips, etc.). Looser fitting projects are an approachable way to begin exploring garment making.
