This beginner sewing workshop will introduce you to machine sewing. Students will learn foundational skills that include how to read a pattern, basic stitches, the properties of common fabrics, and sewing machine skills and maintenance. Students will learn on our class machines but will have the option to bring in their own machine during the course to troubleshoot with instructors. This is a great option for those that just need a little guidance to get started on their sewing journey!

CLASS MATERIALS All necessary materials for this course are provided by the Artisan Center, however students may choose to purchase their preferred fabric. Yardage requirements and fabric content suggestions will be communicated by the instructor.
YOUTH PARTICIPANTS For students ages 14-17 participating in non-youth classes, parents/guardians must complete this waiver and send to Artisan.Center@nwtc.edu before the first day of class. The form may also be completed at the Artisan and Business Center if registering in person.
