Technology for Success: Email, Job Search, and Online Safety

Build confidence completing everyday tasks online. This beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop provides guided practice using the internet and email for work, services, communication, and job searching.

Participants will practice using a web browser, searching for information, finding reliable places to look for jobs, checking whether online information is trustworthy, sending and replying to emails, and working with attachments. The workshop will also cover safer habits for passwords, links, personal information, and public Wi-Fi.

Basic laptop experience is helpful but not required, and questions are encouraged.

Come ready to practice on your own Windows laptop. Please bring your laptop and charger, your email login information, and a phone that can receive verification codes.

This free workshop is open to the public and may be taken on its own. Participants who would like more practice with basic laptop skills are also encouraged to register for Technology for Success: Getting Started with Your Laptop on December 1 or January 23.
