Technology for Success: Getting Started with Your Laptop

Build confidence using your laptop one step at a time. This beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop provides guided practice with the basic computer skills used for work, education, services, and everyday tasks.
Participants will practice using the keyboard and touchpad, navigating the Windows desktop, opening and closing programs, connecting to Wi-Fi, and finding saved files and downloads. The workshop will also introduce a few safe, basic troubleshooting strategies.
No prior computer experience is required, and questions are encouraged.
Come ready to practice on your own Windows laptop. Please bring your laptop and charger with you to the workshop. Participants should also bring a phone that can receive verification codes, when available.
This free workshop is open to the public and may be taken on its own. Participants are also encouraged to register for Technology for Success: Email, Job Search, and Online Safety on February 3.
