#BCUW-01- -
111 N Roosevelt St
Green Bay, WI 54301
New to computers—or still unsure what all those buttons and icons do? This beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop will help you get oriented to the laptop you received through the Techquity program and practice the basic skills that make everything else easier.
Participants will learn how to use the keyboard and touchpad, navigate the Windows desktop, open and close programs, connect to Wi-Fi, and understand where files and downloads go. The workshop will also introduce a few safe, basic troubleshooting strategies.
No prior computer experience is required, and questions are encouraged.
Please bring the laptop and charger you received through the Techquity program. Participants should also bring a phone that can receive verification codes, when available.
This workshop is open only to Techquity laptop recipients. Participants who complete the workshop will receive a digital badge recognizing their achievement.
This workshop may be taken on its own. Participants are also encouraged to register for Techquity Digital Literacy: Online Confidence – Email, Search & Safety on September 3.
