ACLS Renewal - Door County Medical Center

The ACLS renewal course is designed for healthcare professionals who already hold a current or recently expired ACLS certification. It focuses on updating knowledge and skills in cardiac arrest management, stroke care, dysrhythmia recognition, airway management, and team-based resuscitation. The course ensures participants stay aligned with the latest American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines for CPR and emergency cardiovascular care. Course objectives

• Refresh BLS and ACLS skills including CPR, AED, and airway management

• Update knowledge on ACLS algorithms, shock management, and pharmacology

• Enhance team communication and resuscitation leadership

• Practice high-performance team dynamics in simulated emergency scenarios

Pre-course Requirement: Review, understand, and complete the ECG and Pharmacology pre-course assessment tests online at ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment

Required AHA books must be obtained before class and brought to class; books are available for advance purchase through the NWTC Bookstore.
