This class is designed for those striving to become better handgun armorers, instead of repeating the same certification/ recertification class. Also, Glock no longer offers their 2-day advanced armorer class outside of Georgia, so this class provides a local opportunity to advance your handgunsmithing abilities.

Day 1 includes the history and evolution of Glock-style handguns, the cycle of operation, field stripping, and detailed disassembly and reassembly. Also, this day presents a systematic armorer inspection process to identify and remedy the common wear areas and breakage concerns that can cause malfunctions on Generation 2-5 handguns.

Day 2 begins with a presentation on individual component evolutions, changes, and compatibility issues that can impact optimal handgun reliability. Then participants will practice MOS optic installations and factory-authorized trigger modifications. Day 2 culminates with a review of the factory parts ordering process and a practical armorer examination of at least 16 Glock handguns of various generations, calibers, and frame sizes. Armorers will be expected to identify firearm deficiencies and recommend repair steps.

While designed as an advanced level class, participants do not need any prior armorer training or certification to attend. This class is not affiliated with or endorsed by Glock. The class is taught by Ryan Skabroud, President of Precious Metals Gunsmithing, LLC, a Wisconsin-based FFL 07/02 SOT.

If you would like your agency to be invoiced after the training is complete, email rob.hock@nwtc.edu with each attendee's name, email address and date of birth and we will get them registered for the class.
