Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) was designed to enhance a law enforcement officer's ability to detect drivers that are impaired by drugs. It is meant to bridge the gap between Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) and Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) training. Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) is a pre-requisite for Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) candidates.

Students must be a law enforcement officer certified in Standardized Field Sobriety testing (SFST) prior to attending this course.
