It is meant to bridge the gap between Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) and Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) training. Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (ARIDE) is a pre-requisite for Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) candidates.

Students must be a law enforcement officer certified in Standardized Field Sobriety testing (SFST) prior to attending this course.
