The Blue Card Command Certification Program teaches Incident Commanders and other fire officers how to standardize incident operations.

The first phase of training is a 50-hour online training course through Blue Card. This MUST be completed prior to taking this course

February 10, 2024 8a-400p, February 17, 2024 8a-4:00p and February 24, 8a-4pm

This is the second phase of training is a 3 day hands on evaluation and certification course

Upon completion of the online and hands on portion, students become a fully certified Local - Type 4 and 5 Incident Commander. This evaluation consists of running 15-20 fire simulations a day with brief incident reviews conducted between each simulation. This session tests their ability to perform the responsibilities of an initial On-Scene Officer, Incident Commander, Incident Management Team (IMT) Member, Division/Group Supervisor Safety Officer and Continue, Transfer Terminate Command.
