Crime in Indian Country is evolving rapidly and community members, as well as Law Enforcement officials need to find strategic and innovative methods related to crime prevention. Tribal and non-tribal entities must look at how they can collaborate and work together in order to build relationships that will help grow safer communities. This training will allow attendees to gain an understanding of Native American people, their culture, traditions, and way of life. Your instructor is an Oneida Tribal member and was born and raised on the Oneida Indian Reservation and will give attendees the opportunity to understand about the challenges with policing in tribal communities. This training is not just for Law Enforcement, but all community leaders and programs

This 4-hour course is designed for the following: All tribal; Non Tribal Law Enforcement Agencies working on or near tribal communities, Tribal; Non-Tribal Departments; Organizations, School Faculty; Staff, Housing; Land management Depts, Tribal Government Officials, Parks; Recreation staff, community Programs
