Crisis Intervention Partners (CIP) training is a 16-hour program modeled after the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training component. CIP is designed for a wide range of audiences interested in better understanding and improving interactions with individuals experiencing mental health crises. Participants often include correctional officers, 911 dispatchers, emergency personnel, hospital staff, teachers, social workers, and more. Through both information and practical exercises, CIP trains participants to effectively use attitudes, beliefs, and verbal/non-verbal skills as part of their response to crisis situations.
