Are you an RDMS or RVT in Sonography seeking advancement? NWTC's Echo micro credential enhances adult echocardiography skills. Study while working, earn a micro credential, boost earning potential, and advance your expertise.
Pre-requisites:
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Register Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- 1 year of full-time work experience in a related Sonography field and readiness to take the next step to obtaining the Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential
- Employer Sponsorship (Available Clinical Experience for Adult Echocardiography at current workplace highly recommended)
- Available for in person courses as set by the curriculum (no online courses available) and 1 weekend or 2 evening labs
Schedule: This micro credential is an 18-month program following NWTC’s academic schedule. NWTC offers classes in an 8-week format, classes will meet one to two days per week:
Fall Year 1: Cardiac Anatomy and Physiology - Cost: $1,000
Spring Year 1: Adult Echocardiography (no lab) - Cost: $600,
Elective Option: Basic EKG Analysis - Cost: $275
Fall Year 2: Advanced Cardiac Pathology and Case Review - Cost: $350,
Special Procedures in Echocardiography - Cost: $350,
Elective Option: Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Disease - Cost: $275

- Standard Track consists of 4 courses; total investment is $2,300.00.
- Elective Track includes 6 courses; total investment is $2,850.00.
Payment will be broken into smaller amounts. Payment must be paid in full prior to each class beginning.
