Farm Rescue

The course will be conducted in two sessions:

The Friday evening classroom session will cover the following: Overview & farm preplans; Rescuer preparation and personal safety; Extrication; and Incident Command System review.

The Saturday morning practical session will cover the following: Tractor types and rollover types; Stabilization during rescue; Tractor injuries; Tractor overturn rescue; PTO overview; PTO rescue; Farm machinery overview; and Farm machinery rescue. This will also include Hands On Training (HOT) with overturned machinery.

This is a grant funded course for Brown County firefighters only. Attendees need to be FF1 certified and a full turnout gear is required to participate.*
