Intro to SEL 351 & 751 Relays (Spring)

Hands on training for operation of SEL 351 & 751 feeder protection relays via front panel controls or laptop computer. Demonstration and discussion of relay response to various fault simulations is an integral part of this class.

In this training you will learn:

• Function of relay front panel pushbuttons and LED indicators
• Enable relay functions such as “One Shot” and “Non-Reclose” and “Hot Line Tag”
• Differences in relay response between “One Shot” and “Hot Line Tag” and “Non-Reclose”
• View real-time and historical metering information
• Retrieve fault type, location, and history information
• Establish communication with SEL relays via a laptop computer
