LESB Defensive Tactics Instructor

Prepares instructor candidates for certification as a Defensive Tactics Instructor (DT Instructor). This course replaces DAAT and POSC Instructor courses as of January, 2022.

Applicant must have completed the 32-hour CJ-IDC course within the previous 2 years before attending, or be a currently-certified LESB Instructor, and have 3 years full-time experience. Applicant must use the Form DJ-LE336 to apply for this training.

Instructions:

1. Register online.
2. Login to ACADIS and click on “Email my Professional History Report.” Copy and paste the following address into the field: PublicSafety.CorporateTraining@NWTC.EDU
3. Download LESB DJ-LE 336/Topic Specific Instructor Training Course Application and LESB-DJ-LE-310/Student Authorization for Release of Information at https://www.nwtc.edu/business-and-industry/public-safety-training/public-safety-training-forms-and-resources and send completed DJ-LE-336 and DJ-LE-310 to sue.lemerond@nwtc.edu at least two weeks prior to the class.
4. Confirmation to attend training will be made once the documents have been received by NWTC.

If you would like your agency to be invoiced after the training is complete, email rob.hock@nwtc.edu with each attendee's name, email address and date of birth and we will get them registered for the class.
