Attendees are asked to bring their agency vehicle. This is the LESB, state-mandated 2023-2025 biennial pursuit update required of all LEOs to maintain certification as in the State of Wisconsin; the training consist of the following components:

  • Introduction: Review of legislative requirements, curriculum components, and pursuit data reporting.
  • Vehicle Operations-Officer Survival: Safety belt use, speed management and multitasking, and intersection negotiation.
  • Pursuit Operations: Pursuit defined, close pursuit, fresh pursuit, pursuit support, EVOC Disturbance Resolution Model, intervention options, pursuit termination factors, agency policy review (pursuit and corresponding Use of Force).
  • Trending: Canine responsibilities in the new HRVC model.
  • Application and Skills: Practical Driving Skills review, Use of Force Drills, HRVC Post Pursuit Simulations.

If you would like your agency to be invoiced after the training is complete, email rob.hock@nwtc.edu with each attendee's name, email address and date of birth and we will get them registered for the class.
