This course prepares Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board (LESB) certified officers to effectively administer and teach the Emergency Vehicle Operations and Control (EVOC) training program. This course emphasizes teaching and learning techniques that promote active learning, supporting learners with a variety of learning preferences and needs, and generate continuous improvements in teaching and learning. The goal of this program is to prepare certified officers who are proficient in driving a vehicle under emergency conditions to deliver LESB-approved EVOC curriculum.
Applicant must have completed the 32-hour CJ-IDC course within the previous 2 years before attending, or be a currently-certified LESB Instructor, and have 3 years full-time experience.
Applicant must use Form DJ-LE336 to apply for this training.
Instructions:
Register online. Complete Topic Specific Instructor Training Course Application (LESB-DJ-LE 336) and Student Authorization for Release of Information (DJ-LE-310). These can be downloaded at https://www.nwtc.edu/business-and-industry/public-safety-training/public-safety-training-forms-and-resources Send a completed DJ-LE-336, DJ-LE-310 and a copy of the officer’s ACADIS training transcript to sue.lemerond@nwtc.edu at least two weeks prior to the class.
Confirmation to attend training will not be made until these documents have been received by NWTC.
If you would like to be invoiced after the training is complete, email rob.hock@nwtc.edu with each attendee's name, email address and date of birth and we will get them registered for the class.
