This 32-hour course prepares criminal justice instructor candidates to create a learning environment that supports learners. Competencies include planning and managing learning, training and evaluation methods and delivering teaching scenarios. The applicant should have at least 2 ½ years of full time, or at least 5,000 hours, certified occupational experience prior to attending the CJ-IDC.

Instructions:

  1. Register online.
  2. Download 32-Hour Criminal Justice Instructor Development Course Application (LESB-DJ-LE 335) and Student Authorization for Release of Information (DJ-LE-310) at https://www.nwtc.edu/business-and-industry/public-safety-training/public-safety-training-forms-and-resources.
  3. Send a completed DJ-LE-335, DJ-LE-310 and a copy of the officer’s ACADIS training transcript to sue.lemerond@nwtc.edu at least two weeks prior to the class.

Confirmation to attend training will not be made until these documents have been received by NWTC.

If you would like your agency to be invoiced after the training is complete, email rob.hock@nwtc.edu with each attendee's name, email address and date of birth and we will get them registered for the class.
