Many smaller agency police chiefs do not have access to the staff and other resources needed to successfully address many of the critical functions and responsibilities that are needed to run their department. This two day course will introduce new police chiefs to these components that they now have responsibility for. Topics to be covered: Leadership, organizational development, strategic planning, employee engagement, community & media relations, budgeting and finance, matters of discipline and navigating politics. This class would also be appropriate for senior level leaders and as a refresher for any leader responsible for these areas within their organization.
This training will be presented by a retired police chief with over 31 years of municipal law enforcement experience.
If you would like your agency to be invoiced after the training is complete, email rob.hock@nwtc.edu with each attendee’s name, email address and date of birth and we will get them registered for the training.
