Operation RUSH- Criminal Interdiction Course

Operation RUSH is a criminal interdiction course developed to challenge both new and experienced officers to look beyond the traffic stop and recognize criminal activity. Criminals are most vulnerable while in transit going from point A to point B and they are also their most dangerous. Learn how to conduct tactical vehicle approaches which provides officers a superior advantages over traditional traffic stops

One of the biggest legal challenges officer’s face in court is the extension of the traffic stop. Legally extending the traffic stop by building reasonable suspicion and how to articulate it in your report is the key to a successful criminal interdiction traffic stop. Articulation of key components of the traffic stop in the officers report lays the foundation for courtroom testimony and successful convictions

The course will also provide officers pertinent information on current case law, current drug trends, drug ingestion, contraband concealment methods, and search techniques along with the deployment of K9s.
