Encounters with Spanish speakers who have limited or no English ability are increasing in Northeastern Wisconsin. This presents numerous issues for the patrol officer and their investigations. This course will explain cultural issues and immigrant related issues when dealing with Spanish speakers from Mexico and South America. This course will cover some words, phrases and effective means of communicating but is not a 'learn to speak Spanish" course.
