Course Description:
If you are thinking about making social media content in Photoshop and just don’t know where to start, this class is for you! Photoshop is a photo editing and content creation tool that lets you bring together text, photos, logos, and other assets to create powerful images for a wide variety of applications including social media.
Course Objectives
- Get familiar with the Photoshop interface.
- Learn to resource and create images, graphics, and text.
- Format images to fit your needs.
- Create templates for use on social media.
- Save and manage files for use on social media.
Technology Requirements:
Though access to Photoshop will be provided on campus (via Mac desktop computers) it is recommended that students have access to Photoshop and the Adobe Suite outside of class to ensure the timely completion of assignments. Provided you have access to the Adobe suite you are welcome to bring your own laptop. (Note if you are using a PC based laptop the programs themselves function the same regardless of platform, however some of the modifier keys and keyboard shortcuts will be different)**
