PREA Coordinator/Compliance Manager Training

The National Prison Rape Elimination Act – where to begin?! Whether your agency is large or small, new to this conversation or experienced, implementation and ongoing compliance can feel like an overwhelmingly heavy lift. Join this two-day course to explore your role as PREA Coordinator or PREA Compliance Manager and move your agency towards sustained compliance – to prevent sexual victimization, improve the culture of confinement, and mitigate liability.
Our instructor has been the PREA Coordinator for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections since 2018. She is a DOJ certified PREA auditor, PREA Resource Center consultant, and Chair of the National PREA Coordinators Working Group.

PREA Coordinators and PREA Compliance Managers will:

• Review the dynamics of confinement-based sexual abuse
• Enhance understanding of the PREA standards
• Conceptualize implementation strategies
• Differentiate between daily compliance and audit preparation
• Identify resources, stakeholders, and partnerships
