Search Warrant and Execution

This 16-hour course is designed to familiarize officers with preparing and executing search warrants. Instructors will discuss what information is required in the search warrant and affidavit, as well as the procedure for signing, based on jurisdiction and type of warrant. Instructors will provide templates for various types of search warrants for students to personalize and the legal issues for each will be discussed. Students will receive hands on training in residential warrant execution to include scouting, briefing, and tactical clearing.
