Smith & Wesson M&P Style Handgun Armorer Course

This 8-hour armorer course discusses the Smith & Wesson M&P handgun platform. All tools, manuals, and supplies are provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own handgun to get familiar with its configuration and any aftermarket modifications. Additionally, time is included to clean, inspect, repair, and lubricate the firearm. This is a very hands-on class and is instructed by Ryan Skabroud, an NRA instructor and President of Precious Metals Gunsmithing, LLC, a Wisconsin-based FFL 07/02 shop.

Participants will learn the following topics: -History of the M&P handgun -Safety & function checks -Cycle of operation -Basic field stripping and cleaning
- Detailed disassembly and inspection
- Inspection of parts for excessive wear -Lubrication -Reassembly -Troubleshooting
Equipment you should bring: -Smith & Wesson M&P handgun, original or 2.0 handgun (unloaded and cased. Leave in your vehicle until prompted to bring into the classroom)
- 1-2 magazines for the handgun -Lunch (or we will provide you a 1-hour lunch break to find a local restaurant)
