Telecommunications Preview Day

Cellular and wireless networks are expanding across the country at a rapid pace, including the deployment of new 5G and broadband technologies. But the industry is in urgent need of skilled technicians to build, climb, and maintain those cell towers as well as workers with the knowledge of route engineering, fiber optics, and wireless technologies. You can learn all that an more, here at NWTC with three different options ranging from two semesters to two years. After completing a degree here, you'll be poised to jump right into one of the fastest growing and highest-demand industries in the world.

Learn about how you could become a Tower Technician (build, climb, and maintain towers), Field Technician, or Engineering Technician (project design and management) in the Telecommunications industry by attending Telecommunications Preview Day. Here, you'll learn how to climb a tower, configure a cell tower antenna, and more! And if heights aren't your thing, that's okay! You can keep your feet firmly on the ground and learn more about how wireless communication networks are designed and operated.

Parents and other family members are invited to attend with you, but do not need to register. Any necessary safety gear will be provided by NWTC.

What to Wear:

• Weather-appropriate clothing (you'll be inside and outside)
• Long pants & sturdy shoes required

• Great Lakes Energy Education Center
• Park in lot G and enter through door E2
